Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping at Magic & Monsters. The following terms and conditions constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic (South Africa) and International Shipping

Gauteng Collection Option: For customers in Gauteng, we offer free collection from various collection points. This option will be presented to you at checkout. Once your order is processed, you will be contacted to arrange collection.

Shipping Options: We offer various shipping options, including door-to-door courier services, to meet your needs within South Africa. The available options and associated costs for your order will be presented to you at checkout.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and commence from the date of shipping, rather than the date of order. Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to carrier issues or unforeseen events.

Shipment Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays.

  • If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.
  • If there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Loss and Damage in Transit

Shipping Insurance Coverage:

  • Complimentary Insurance: Insurance is complimentary (free of charge) for door-to-door delivery orders with a value up to R1000.

Standard Shipping Liability: Magic & Monsters is not liable for products lost or damaged by the shipping carrier once the package leaves our premises. Any claim for loss or damage must be filed directly by the customer with the chosen shipment carrier.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes (International Orders)

Magic & Monsters is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping, including tariffs, taxes, and handling fees, are the responsibility of the customer.

International Shipping Policy: We ship internationally to certain countries. You are responsible for ensuring that the products can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Magic & Monsters, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Pre-Order Policies

Order Shipping Information: Orders that include pre-order items will be shipped only once all items in that order are available.

Early Shipping Requests: If you request to receive part of your order earlier, an additional shipping fee of R99 will be charged per split shipment.

Expected Arrival Dates: It is important to note that the expected arrival dates for pre-orders are estimates and can change due to unforeseen production or shipping delays, which are out of our control.

Pre-Order Cancellation Policy:

  • All customer-initiated pre-order cancellations are subject to a 20% processing and restocking fee, as these items are specially ordered and reserved for you. This fee will be deducted from your refund.
  • We reserve the right to cancel pre-orders at any time; in such cases (e.g., supplier shortages), you will receive a full 100% refund.

Pre-Order Pricing and Payment:

  • Full payment is required to secure a pre-order.
  • While rare, pre-order prices may vary slightly upon final arrival due to unforeseen cost increases (e.g., customs or exchange rates). In the event of a price increase of more than 10%, we will contact you for confirmation before shipping, giving you the option to pay the difference or cancel the pre-order for a full refund.
  • Pre-order payments are considered final unless the product is cancelled by Magic & Monsters or a significant price increase occurs (as above).

Adjusting Order Quantities: We may adjust product quantities in orders at our discretion, particularly in cases of low supplier stock. You will be informed of any changes made to your order and refunded the full amount for any items removed. Pre-order items are allocated and fulfilled in the sequence orders were received, subject to availability.
